Hinds Hall: Der Anti-Israel-Song vom US Rapper Macklemore den Sie nicht hören sollen

Der US-amerikanische Rapper Macklemore hat mit “Hind’s Hall” einen neuen Song veröffentlicht, der die Pro-Palästina-Bewegung an den US-Universitäten unterstützt. Alle Einnahmen des Songs gehen an das UN-Hilfswerk für Palästinenser UNRWA, wie Macklemore am Montag auf der Plattform X bekannt gab.

Klare Worte gegen Apartheid und Kolonialismus

“Hind’s Hall” greift die zentralen Schlagworte der hitzigen Debatte um den Nahostkonflikt auf und scheut dabei keine klare Sprache. Macklemore prangert Israels Politik als Apartheidstaat an und spricht von Genozid und Kolonialismus. Der Titel des Songs bezieht sich auf ein Gebäude der Columbia University in New York, das von Protestierenden in “Hind Rajab Hall” umbenannt wurde. Rajab war ein sechsjähriges Mädchen aus Gaza, das im letzten Krieg getötet wurde.

Kritik an Biden und seinem TikTok-Verbot

Im dazugehörigen Video sind neben Szenen der Proteste und des Krieges in Gaza auch Bilder des US-Präsidenten Joe Biden zu sehen. Macklemore richtet klare Worte an Biden: “Das Blut klebt an deinen Händen, Biden”, rappt er. “Ich werde im Herbst nicht für dich stimmen.” Der Rapper kritisiert auch Bidens geplantes TikTok-Verbot und argumentiert, dies komme zu spät, da die Welt bereits die Gräueltaten in Gaza gesehen habe.
